sense and sensibility & the duck

and ,i decide:

it should have been much more hilarous just to keep silent and let him speak; tell his story...

and when he is finished then tell him that:

"oh; it reminds me of this other story that Murat has told me"... about a guy making a " performance" by taking off his bridesgownin front of Galatasaray Highschool, on IStıklal street; without previously informing anyone...

well, the transformation of "an unlucky performance - unlucky for all-" into a story of "deportation from TUrkey due to a bridesgown costume" is actually a much better performance than the original performance itself...

reality is not single. people construct their own realities. but they must be open when somebody comes up with questions... it is all right to be amazed... to ask questions... it should be ok even to be doubtful at first... and to ask for more info to get a better understanding...

and still... i still tried to understand what really happened...because i know there are many sides to one story... and my will to learn more gets him angry still... i tell him that police do not arrest people for wearing bridescostume as a performance... he is so hilarous he calls me: right wing conservative . he says i am on the same side with the police. i am so astonished... basically, he calls me conservative, right wing and uneducated. wonderful!!! he is an actor maybe? and this is a scene we are playing? oh, come on!

He does not believe in my will to really learn the details of what happened... Instead he tells me to learn to read the news first... unfortunately, later on i decide that i am not ınterested in that newspaper of self-exhibit or show-off. i am not interested in the newspaper of insulting speech&anger. i was truly interested at first; because it WAS interesting; amusing: some guy from Vienna getting DEPORTED from IStanbul? What have he done to be deported? BUt in the end, i leave with the disappointment of his anger ... at first, i am trying to hear his experience, and in the end instead of the details, i get the insults:) that's what you get for your curiosity and hones interest; congratulations! so, finally, he succeeds in filling the air with disbelief... congrats again! for turning curiosity into total disappointment...

sense and sensibility issues... not taught anywhere, right?

(and those with some sensibility would take the name of Pippa Bacca in their mouths like a delicate name; with difficulty also; not to hurt her again... he says her name in relation to his own experience - carelessly - mis-situating the terrible event... it is this point that i am no longer comfortable talking with him... )

and salute & respect to all the people who really honestly work for human rights, against hatred murders, against all kinds of violence ...

oh well;
the good thing is maybe we can reconsider these:

“The most intense conflicts, if overcome, leave behind a sense of security and calm that is not easily disturbed. It is just these intense conflicts and their conflagration which are needed to produce valuable and lasting results.”
Carl Gustav Jung

“Be like a duck. Calm on the surface, but always paddling like the dickens underneath.”
Michael Caine?
