in dreams begin responsibilities

oksuruk devam
işler devam
herşey devam

surprise yourself / kendini şaşırt

"May your coming year be filled with magic and dreams and good madness. I hope you read some fine books and kiss someone who thinks you're wonderful, and don't forget to make some art -- write or draw or build or sing or live as only you can. And I hope, somewhere in the next year, you surprise yourself."

Neil Gaiman

"Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it!"
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

"Stories are made up by people who make them up. If they work, they get retold. There's the magic of it."

"She seems so cool, so focused, so quiet, yet her eyes remain fixed upon the horizon. You think you know all there is to know about her immediately upon meeting her, but everything you think you know is wrong. Passion flows through her like a river of blood.

She only looked away for a moment, and the mask slipped, and you fell. All your tomorrows start here."

"..It occurs to me that the peculiarity of most things we think of as fragile is how tough they truly are. There were tricks we did with eggs, as children, to show how they were, in reality, tiny load-bearing marble halls; while the beat of the wings of a butterfly in the right place, we are told, can create a hurricane across an ocean. Hearts may break, but hearts are the toughest of muscles, able to pump for a lifetime, seventy times a minute, and scarcely falter along the way. Even dreams, the most delicate and intangible of things, can prove remarkable difficult to kill."
Neil Gaiman (Fragile Things)

dreamstate / shut your eyes and see / svankmajer

the start of the film took me by surprise.
all my urges was there; jan svankmajer expressing it all.
and keeping a chronometer:))
ok; he is family! we are relatives!

1.why would one ever spare time for contemplating upon dreams
2.walking with eyes closed - an exercise i have been doing on the streets of vienna at nights after midnight especially when there are no cars - no one - so i count how many steps i can take without opening my eyes - and do i trust that the street will still be solid and when i open my eyes : did i walk in a straight line or which direction is my inclination?

some orientation between the heart - mind / between the dreamstate - conscious? state.

the mixing up of dream and reality that comes closest to my experience of it was hilarously expressed in this movie.

hilarıous!
and it is just a scandal that i fell asleep in the final scene.
so still so curious what happened in the ned?
but i guess i was so much satisfied with the beginning that i chose to dream the rest.

the animated pictures of freud and jung were just too amusing!!!
freud closing his eyes when the women psychoanalyst is taking off her clothes to "treat" her patient.

topped with snow . rainish snow. snowish rain.

just too many associations; supersonic relations.
which songs should one sleep to after a day full of making & watching & criticising animations & dreams?

i wish i had downloaded the thai movie - Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives.
better to sleep to the sounds of a movie.

never postpone anything.
or rather sleep to the sound of this hybrid snow. rainish snow. snowish rain.

i remembered the flying tree in the btncl grdn during the svankmajer film but rather not talk aboutt that atm.

just decided to postpone some rotoscopy work. rather not do it now. hilarously contradicting myself again.and again.
i'd rather dance i'd rather dance with you... kings of convenience; allll righty

kurt vonnegut

this was last week i guess. had fish soup at the kantine. not a good idea... next time i ever go, i should order a lentil soup. that was the recommendation of the waiter... yes i asked for recommendation after already having eaten the so called fish soup.

kantine is by the museums quartier. nice atmosphere; nice music; i guess also good food but i did not taste that yet. however, the lemon grass tea was good for the soul and not so good for the pocket/purse. well, it is ok. once in a while. still i cook much better at home in the 3rd district.

finally, i bought sucuk from the shop that is open till 10pm everyday. of course it is run by a turkish family. today i met the mother and the daughter. the mother recommended me the brand for the sucuk. amazing, i never thought i would like to eat meat.

but it all happened yesterday around 9 pm. after visiting steph's exibition near TAborstrase (in tribute to vasıf kortun). so i went to cafe boem. koppstrase. 16th district. there was the photographer, the father of 2 lovely children: robert. and there was another drinking mastika. it smelled so good! and i was hungry. and there was free food! a pot of white cheese, olives, olive oil and sucuk! it is bosnian sucuk and i was so hungry it was so good. along with mastika it was better. a lovely girl, MAya was at the counter. i had some handcreme - left it to her- glad it will be good for her hands that get dry due to washing glasses all the time. yes so that was all the story of sucuk. i started to eat sucuk here in vienna because of dropping by an i guess serbian cafe and eating bosnian sucuk...
